What is Long Term Care?
Long Term care is the type of assistance needed when:
- You are no longer able to care for yourself independently
- You can no longer perform the normal Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- You need help because of an accident or illness
- You need substantial supervision because of a cognitive impairment such as Alzheimer’s Disease or brain injury
The Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) are dressing, bathing, transferring, toileting, eating and continence.
